The car is the only MP92 which features a carbon fibre tub, it was modelled on the space frame Pilbeam MP84 models that were raced as LMP2 cars at Le Mans and in the USA in the Sebring series. The car was built by Pilbeam in 2005 specifically for speed hillclimbing, but is equally at home for sprinting on race circuits.
